A French film festival is planned for the Paramount Theatre, set to begin in mid April.
The festival has been dubbed CinéLoops, with the inaugural event put together by the Kamloops Film Society and l'Association Francophone de Kamloops (AFK).
Six French films will be screened from April 13 to April 15 at the Paramount Theatre, 503 Victoria St.
Kamloops Film Society executive director Dusan Magdolen said the festival will build on the organization's success in holding its inaugural Indigenous film festival held last fall.
"The three-day CinéLoops French Film Festival will feature some of the best French language cinema from around the world, bolstered by engaging and entertaining events. Francophones and anglophones will not want to miss out," Magdolen said.
Films will be presented with English subtitles.
Films include Tu te Souviendras de Moi (You Will Remember Me), Katak le Brave Beluga, Asterix et Obelix: L'Empire du Milieu, Felix et le Trésor Morgäa (Felix and the Hidden Treasure), Une Belle Course (Driving Madeleine) and Close.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $11 for seniors and $7 for children/students. Festival passes are also available. Find them online at thekfs.ca.
