The Kamloops Arts Council is welcoming two new exhibits this week, running in tandem at The Old Courthouse Cultural Centre.
Nature As I See It is the work of local painter Ron Chertkow, who creates vivid, high contrast works based on what has inspired him — in this show, nature.
Relevant Serenity is the work of Leah Bojey, who calls her work an experiential exhibition that focuses on the serene, often pictured as lakes and oceans. The exhibition is Bojey’s first, and help curating the show has come from her coworkers at the Kamloops Arts Council, where she works as a gallery co-ordinator.
The exhibits run until Nov. 2 in the galleries at the Old Courthouse Cultural Centre, 7 West Seymour St.
An opening reception will be held on Oct. 25, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the gallery.
