Local author with focus on history to hold book signing

Local author Lynne Stonier-Newman will hold a book signing on Saturday, June 11, at Chapters, 1395 Hillside Dr.

Stonier-Newman is a freelance writer and historian who has written a number of B.C.-based books.

Her titles include two creative non-fiction biographies, Peter O'Reilly: The Rise of a Reluctant Immigrant, and The Lawman: Adventures of a Frontier Diplomat, as well as the historical Policing a Pioneer Province: BC Provincial Police 1858-1950.

Her latest book is Latin Legacy, a time-shifting mystery novel set in B.C. and Baja California.

Her works are available on the bookshelves at the Old Courthouse Cultural Centre, 7 West Seymour St., as part of the Kamloops Arts Council.

Stonier-Newman will be signing books at Chapters from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
