With event capacity restrictions now lifted in Interior Health, more tickets have been released for Western Canada Theatre's ongoing performance of Chelsea Hotel: The Songs of Leonard Cohen.

Previously, the show at the Sagebrush Theatre was limited to 50 per cent capacity, per COVID-19-related gathering restrictions imposed by the province. Proof of vaccination through the province's vaccine card system is required to attend.

Chelsea Hotel is the first presentation in the WCT's Heart series, running from Dec. 2 to Dec. 11. It tells the story of a writer who checks in to New York's Chelsea Hotel, desperate to find inspiration for his next song.

The music of Cohen is featured throughout, including Dance Me to the End of Love, Everybody Knows, I'm Your Man, Famous Blue Raincoat, Hallelujah, Closing Time, Suzanne and others.

The play was originally supposed to run in March 2020, but was disrupted by the onset of the pandemic, abruptly cancelled and later pivoted to a livestream performance by its stranded-in-Kamloops actors.

Tickets range from $25 to $50, and are available through the Kamloops Live box office, online at kamloopslive.ca or by calling 250-374-5483.
