Music in the Park returns to Kamloops this summer

With the pandemic silencing the 2020 event and shortening it in 2021, the nightly concert series is ready for a full return to Riverside Park in July and August

Music in the Park will bring free nightly entertainment back to Riverside Park in July and August.

The series will mark its full return this year following cancellation in 2020 and a shortened run in 2021 due to the pandemic.

"We look forward to welcoming artists back to our community and encourage our out-of-town friends to come and enjoy the longest-running series of its kind in North America," said Henry Small, who has organized the event since its inception in 1993.

Kamloops business operations and event supervisor Sean Smith said the city is encouraging new artists to apply for a chance to perform.

Those looking to play on stage at the event can apply online at kamloops.ca/musicinthepark, where the schedule of musicians will also be posted as acts are confirmed.
