The Kamloops Open Arts Society will host a fundraiser and mixer event this weekend.
The group was established last summer by artists Lindsey Tyne Johnson and Phil Coty, who said their goal was to create an open and accessible place for artists in the city.
Funds collected will go toward a low-barrier space for “artists of all ages, incomes and life situations.”
Artists and other interested parties can meet at Blenz Coffee, 210 Victoria St., from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. this Sunday.
The event will also feature live music from Mvlik, a local singer-songwriter.
