Paramount Theatre will remain closed as public health orders extended

In adherence with the extended public health orders, the Kamloops Film Society will keep the Paramount Theatre closed for events through Jan. 8, 2021.

The orders, which first shuttered the theatre on Nov. 19, were originally put in place until Dec. 7, but extended on Monday to Jan. 8, 2021, by Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry.

The closure affects both public and private screenings.

Anyone seeking a refund can contact the Kamloops Film Society by email at Anyone who booked a private rental will be contacted by staff.

Meanwhile, the Kamloops Film Society has been named the beneficiary of December's Colombo Cares campaign.

Sales from the Colombo Lodge's take-home Italian meal program on Dec. 16 will go toward the KFS.
