Screenwriter sought for library's next writer-in-residence

The Thompson-Nicola Regional Library is looking for a screenwriter to become its second-ever writer-in-residence.

The program began in 2019 and invited novelist Deryn Collier for a three-month term.

This time, the library is after a screenwriter who can provide support for local writers of all genres while working on something of their own.

Applicants should have experience writing narrative episodic television, films or documentaries, and be working on a similar project intended for release.

The writer-in-residence will host events for the general public and community groups and assist local writers one-on-one and in workshops.

The term will run from March to June 2021 and applications must be received by 4 p.m. on Dec. 11.
