Two virtually presented performances are coming from Western Canada Theatre.

Western Canada Theatre is planning original videos for on-demand viewing and live virtual watch parties as part of its new Togather: A Celebration of Community series of events.

With gathering restrictions still in place, the theatre is continuing to find creative ways to reach an audience.

Events will begin on Thursday, Feb. 11, with From the Sagebrush, With Love.

The video presentation will feature Eva Tavares, who played Christine in the North American tour of The Phantom of the Opera and appeared in WCT's The Snow Must Go On.

Tavares will be performing Broadway musical classics in a performance that will serve as a love letter to the stage.

At 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 13, WCT artistic director James MacDonald will host a live virtual watch party for the performance, with interviews, a Q&A segment, musical theatre trivia and a cocktail-making session.

From the Sagebrush, With Love will be available for free viewing until Feb. 20.

In March, catch A Broad's Way Cabaret: The Stage is Hers in support of International Women's Day.

The show will feature a wide variety of local emerging and established artists and groups performing theatre, dance, music, comedy and art. The event will be produced by an all-female WCT team.

A live watch party for the event will be held on March 8 at 7:30 p.m. The performance will be viewable online until March 14.
