Western Canada Theatre teases holiday video series, released advent calendar-style

In the lead-up to Christmas, Western Canada Theatre is offering six days of original videos as a thank-you to supporters of the theatre.

The holiday-themed videos, all locally produced, will be revealed one by one each day from Dec. 15 to Dec. 21 at 5 p.m. as part of WCT's The Snow Must Go On video series.

The videos, which WCT says will be around 25 minutes long, will feature local Kamloops performers, audience favourites from around the province and students from WCT's Stage One Theatre School.

While the theatre is mum on the contents of the videos, it is teasing musical performances, comedy, classic stories and interactive family fun.

On Dec. 21, WCT artistic director James MacDonald will host a live virtual watch party featuring clips from all of the videos, as well as other surprises and Q&A sessions with some of the artists involved.

All of the videos are free to watch and will be available until Jan. 1, 2021, on the WCT website.
