COVID-19 update: 322 cases, nine deaths over past 24 hours

Interior Health accounts for 86 of the new cases

B.C. is reporting 322 new cases of COVID-19 and nine further deaths due to the disease over the past 24 hours.

Of those new infections, 86 occurred in Interior Health residents.

Elsewhere, there were 100 new cases in Fraser Health, 50 in Vancouver Coastal, 44 in Northern Health and 42 in Island Health.

There are now 3,015 active cases in the province, with 318 in hospital and 109 of those patients in ICUs.

Among all British Columbians age 12 and older, 91 per cent have received at least one dose, and 87.4 per cent have received at least two doses.

Cases over the past week have been mostly among those not fully vaccinated (58.1 per cent), while 69.2 per cent of all hospitalizations over the past two weeks have been among the same group.
