B.C. has reported 584 more cases of COVID-19 and nine further deaths linked to the disease.
Of those cases, 85 were in the Interior Health region, which did not see any deaths over the past 24 hours.
Elsewhere, there were 232 new cases and three further deaths in Fraser Health, 104 cases and two deaths in Northern Health, 82 cases and two deaths in Island Health and 81 cases and two deaths in Vancouver Coastal Health.
Hospitalization numbers remain elevated beyond levels seen in recent months, with 436 in hospital and 156 of those patients requiring critical care in ICUs.
The province currently has 4,982 active cases.
Over the past week, 65 per cent of all cases have been among those either partially vaccinated or unvaccinated, and over the past two weeks, have the same group has accounted for 73.8 per cent of the 468 patients admitted to hospital.
B.C.'s vaccination rates as of Friday were 89.8 per cent for a one dose and 85 per cent for two doses, among all of the province's residents over the age of 12.
