Highway 1 remains closed in both directions west of Kamloops as of Tuesday morning (Sept. 19).
A multi-vehicle accident has occurred between Savona and Cache Creek, with DriveBC stating an update on the route will next come at 10 a.m.
The incident is on the highway between Back Valley Road and the Juniper Beach Provincial Park Access Road, a stretch of 3.4 kilometres.
Alternate routes are available via highways 5, 97D and 97C.
