Kamloops firefighters douse blaze behind auto dealership

The fire on Nov. 29 destroyed a storage-type structure behind Red Sea Auto at 156 Tranquille Rd.

Crews were mopping up on the morning of Sunday, Nov. 29, after flames left this structure on the Red Sea Auto dealership in North Kamloops charred.

The 100-block of Tranquille Road in North Kamloops was closed to traffic in both directions for a few hours on Sunday morning (Nov. 29) as fire crews doused a blaze that destroyed a large storage-type structure at the rear of an auto dealership.

Kamloops Fire Rescue crews responded to the blaze behind Red Sea Auto, 156 Tranquille Rd., at about 7 a.m. A number of Kamloops RCMP officers were also at the scene, diverting traffic and speaking to witnesses.

Investigation into cause of the fire continues.
