Justin Ferrier was reported missing after seemingly vanishing on Feb. 14. Kamloops Mounties say he has been founds and is safe.

A Kamloops man reported missing, with Mounties expressing concern due to ties with the criminal element in the city, has been found and is safe.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said on Monday that 42-year-old Justin Ferrier is no longer the subject of a search.

He had last been seen on Feb. 14 and, due to his personal associations, lifestyle and other investigative information, the Kamloops RCMP’s serious crimes unit was involved in investigating his reported disappearance.

Police said on the weekend that, given the string of violent incidents in Kamloops in recent weeks — including the shooting deaths of two men in January, a kidnapping and robbery on Feb. 13 and the shooting of a man and woman on Feb. 15 — Ferrier’s reported disappearance had them concerned.
