Dear readers and advertisers:
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted every segment of society — and the media industry is no exception.
With the health crisis necessitating unprecedented measures that have included the temporary shuttering of myriad businesses, it is understandable that there is less local advertising, which funds the production of local news outlets like Kamloops This Week.
Due to this economic reality, KTW will join every other community newspaper in British Columbia in temporarily moving to once per week print distribution, effective Wednesday, April 1.
At Kamloops This Week, we will continue to report how the pandemic is affecting us locally and we will continue with our award-winning coverage of other news that affects all Kamloopsians.
And we will continue our longstanding and mutually beneficial relationships with our advertising partners and help them in every way possible as they — and we — work to navigate the uncertainty that has, for now, gripped society.
In the meantime, the weekly Kamloops This Week print edition and the vast audience its news and advertising reach, will continue to be augmented by round-the-clock coverage of all that is Kamloops, online at kamloopsthisweek.com.
