Two more bear sightings in Kamloops had Kamloops Mounties reminding residents to keep their distance, keep their yards maintained and keep their garbage bins off the street until the morning of collection by the city.

Sgt. Sgt Brian O’Callaghan said the latest sightings of bruins took place on Saturday night (Aug. 28) in the 500-block Columbia Street West in Lower Sahali and in the Hillside Drive area of Southgate.

“Police would like to remind the public to keep their distance, ensure that they clear their property of any rotting fruit and to refrain from putting out their garbage cans prior to 4 a.m. on their pick-up day, in accordance with Kamloops flaws,” O’Callaghan said.
