The Kamloops RCMP is asking the public for help with an investigation that began in late July.
Police are asking residents to look at images — blurry as they may be — from surveillance footage relating to a fraud investigation that began on July 31.
The images were received after a bank contacted police to report a suspicious person trying to impersonate a woman whose identification had been stolen.
The fraud suspect is white, has shoulder-length black hair and, at the time, was wearing white shorts, a pink top and a black blazer and carrying a dark purse.
“So far, police have been unable to identify the woman,” Const. Crystal Evelyn, said. “We are turning to the public to see if anyone else is able to provide more information to help further this investigation.”
Anyone who is able to identify the suspect or has information related to the investigation is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2021-26355.
