Weapons assault call leads to police presence in Brocklehurst

The public is being asked to avoid the Bossert Avenue area near the Brock Recreation Centre in Brocklehurst as police deal with a weapons assault report early Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 31).

Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said officers responded to a home in the 2300-block of Bossert Avenue at about 11:30 a.m. There, they found a person with serious injuries. Evelyn said the victim was taken to hospital by ambulance and is expected to survive their injuries.

Evelyn said the public is asked to avoid the area while police are on scene, conducting the investigation.
