Heads up for those planning a trip on the Coquihalla Highway this weekend.
Environment Canada has issued a winter storm watch for the highway between Kamloops and Hope for Saturday night (Nov. 26).
A Pacific weather system will move into the Southern Interior, brining up to 20 centimetres of snow and strong winds, with visibility affected in some areas. The Okanagan Connector between Merritt and Kelowna is also under the winter storm watch.
Public Safety Canada is urging travellers to have a safety kit and make an emergency plan before travelling in winter conditions. Road conditions are available at drivebc.ca.
