Accident on Highway 1 in Kamloops snarls traffic

On March 30, a white SUV that went off the roadway, down an embankment and hit a stationary railcar. Kamloops RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn said the sole occupant of the vehicle appeared uninjured.

A large number of emergency responders attended a single-vehicle crash near the railway tracks in the 4000-block of the Trans Canada Highway in Valleyview on Tuesday afternoon (March 30).

RCMP, Kamloops Fire Rescue and BC Ambulance responded at about 1:50 p.m., near Holman Road, to a report of a white SUV that went off the roadway, down an embankment and hit a stationary railcar.

Kamloops RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn said the sole occupant of the vehicle appeared uninjured.

Police, she said, are still investigating.
