B.C. RCMP to make 'significant' announcement on decades-old Kamloops investigation

Press conference set for 10 a.m. on Sept. 26 in Surrey

The B.C. RCMP will hold a press conference in Surrey at 10 a.m. on Thursday to make what it says is a "significant" announcement regarding a Kamloops investigation from 2000.

Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet said members of the RCMP’s Provincial Major Crime Section Special Projects Unit will be at the police force’s provincial headquarters in Surrey for the announcement, as will be Supt. Jeanette Theisen, officer in charge of programs and special projects of the RCMP Provincial Major Crimes Section.
