B.C. health officials are reporting 494 cases of COVID-19 two further deaths linked to the disease over the past 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 33 are in the Interior Health region.
Elsewhere, there were 140 new cases in Vancouver Coastal Health, 288 in Fraser Health, eight in Island Health and 25 in Northern Health.
The number of those hospitalized with the disease continues to fall, down below 400 for the first time since April 14, and far below a recent peak of 515. As of Friday, B.C. reported 387 in hospital, with 141 of those patients in ICUs.
B.C. has seen a total of 138,304 cases of COVID-19 since the virus took hold in the province. Since, 130,953 have recovered while 1,634 have died. Another 5,548 cases remain active.
Friday's vaccination total stands at 2,393,265, with 124,880 of those being second doses.
By Sunday, everyone in B.C. over the age of 18 will be able to book their vaccine. Registration is required and can be done online at gov.bc.ca/getvaccinated or by calling 1-833-838-2323.
Currently, the province is booking appointments for those age 25 and older.
