B.C. health officials are reporting 428 new cases of COVID-19 in the province, in addition to another eight deaths due to the disease.
The Interior Health region accounts for 61 of those new cases and one of the deaths. There are now 769 active cases within the health region's borders.

Elsewhere in the province, there were 90 new cases in Vancouver Coastal Health, 223 in Fraser Health, nine in Vancouver Island Health and 45 in Northern Health.
In hospital, there are now 367 patients in B.C. hospitals with COVID-19, including 77 in critical care. In Interior Health, there are 35 in hospital and seven in critical care.
The province has now seen 54,629 cases of COVID-19, with 45,999 of those recovered and 954 who have died. The number of active cases was reported at 6,472 on Tuesday.
Another 8,596 people are under active public health monitoring due to exposure to confirmed cases.
On the vaccine front, the province now reports that 28,209 people have received a dose of either the Pfizer of Moderna vaccine.
Interior Health also issued a public alert regarding an increase in new cases in the Revelstoke region. It is the second such notice the health authority has issued following new cases there.
