B.C. Liberal Leader to visit Kamloops today (Oct. 2)

Kamloops-North Thompson candidate Peter Milobar and Kamloops-South Thompson candidate Todd Stone will be alongside Andrew Wilkinson for an announcement at the Kamloops RCMP North Shore Community Policing Office.

B.C. Liberal Leader Andrew Wilkinson is scheduled to be in Kamloops on Friday (Oct. 2), where he is expected to make a law and order-related announcement at the Kamloops RCMP North Shore Community Policing Office, 915 Seventh St.

Kamloops-North Thompson candidate Peter Milobar and Kamloops-South Thompson candidate Todd Stone will be alongside Wilkinson for the announcement, which is set for 3 p.m.

KTW will cover the event, which will also be live streamed on the B.C. Liberals’ Facebook page.

Wilkinson will be the first party leader to visit Kamloops during the election campaign, which began on Sept. 21 and will culminate with general voting day on Oct. 24.

There has been no word yet on whether B.C. Conservative Leader Trevor Bolin will be at today’s (Oct. 2) 11 a.m. press conference at the Trans Mountain yard on Mission Flats Road to introduce the party’s Kamloops-North Thompson candidate, believed to be one-time city council candidate Dennis Giesbrecht.

Nor has there been any announcements on possible visits to the Tournament Capital by B.C. NDP Leader John Horgan or B.C. Green Leader Sonia Furstenau.
