The interim president and CEO of the BC Lottery Corporation will resign as of Jan 15, 2021.
BCLC board chair Peter Kappel said Greg Moore is leaving the organization to pursue a new opportunity in the private sector.
Moore assumed the temporary role in September 2019 when BCLC president and CEO Jim Lightbody began medical leave to undergo cancer treatment and recovery. When Lightbody took leave, the BCLC said his absence may extend into early 2020.
Kappel said the board will take the time necessary to appoint a new interim president and CEO while Lightbody continues his medical leave. Lightbody Lightbody joined BCLC in 2001 and has been president and CEO since January 2014.
Moore joined the BCLC board in November 2018, was mayor of Port Coquitlam from 2008 to 2018 and served as chair of the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors from 2011 to 2018.
