A city community services (bylaws) officer has tested positive for COVID-19 and is at home self-isolating.
In a statement released on Monday (Feb. 22), the city said the employee had “minimal contact with the public” on the North Shore on Thursday, Feb. 18, and Friday, Feb. 19. The city said that the employee used personal protective equipment and physically distanced during that time.
This is the third city employee to be reported by the city to have tested positive for COVID-19 during the pandemic. The first case was reported in the fall of 2020. The second case was reported earlier this month.
