The City of Kamloops is looking for public feedback on its climate action plan, soliciting both in-person and online input into the fall.
An online survey asks for feedback on big moves, which were identified to significantly reduce the city’s carbon footprint.
They target low-carbon development, transportation, energy retrofitting, waste and more.
It comes after the city aligned itself with global targets to maintain a 1.5 C temperature increase, as set out in the Paris Agreement.
In addition to the survey, the city is hosting an online discussion, via its Let’s Talk website.
In-person feedback will be solicited during open houses at the Kamloops Yacht Club, located at 1140 River St., on Sept. 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m, and on Oct. 1, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The online survey is open until Oct. 12 and those who participate will be entered to win one of three gift baskets, including $50 gift certificates downtown.
