COVID-19 exposure being investigated at Overlander Residential Care

Interior Health has confirmed it is investigating a COVID-19 exposure at Overlander Residential Care in Kamloops.

Residents and family members received a letter from the care home's management advising them of the exposure.

The health authority confirmed it is investigating at the 183-bed long-term care home at 953 Southill St. but did not say if a resident or a staff member was affected.

The provincial standard for an outbreak to be declared is one or more cases among staff and residents at long-term care homes, but it is not yet clear if an outbreak will be declared at the facility.
