Parkcrest Avenue on the North Shore is expected to be closed until 3 p.m. on Wednesday following an accident.
Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said a vehicle crashed into a power pole at the intersection of Holt Street and Parkcrest Avenue at 2:15 p.m., with a power line coming down and lying on top of the vehicle.
Shelkie said BC Hydro crews have been called to remove the live power line, after which the vehicle can be towed away.
Until then, Parkcrest is closed between Singh and Southill streets to both vehicles and pedestrians.
