Crews fighting fire along Highway 5 southwest of Kamloops

The BC Wildfire Service is currently fighting a fire 11 kilometres southwest of Kamloops next to Highway 5.

The fire is currently classified as out of control and was last measured at 0.5 hectares, or about the size of a football field.

The wildfire service says there are currently 10 personnel on site, along with crews from Kamloops Fire Rescue.

Travel on the highway has not been impacted at this time.
