Crews respond to reported fire at Kamloops motel

Smoke was seen coming out of a unit at the Travelodge in Aberdeen on the morning of Jan. 30

Kamloops firefighters appeared to be mopping up after being called to douse a blaze in a motel in Aberdeen.

Smoke could be seen coming out of a unit at the Travelodge at 1225 Rodgers Way at 8:30 a.m. as crews arrived to douse the flames.

By 9 a.m., it appeared as though firefighters had the situation under control.
