Crews working wildfire 30 kilometres east of Kamloops

BC Wildfire Service crews say a small blaze east of Kamloops is being held.

The East Pooley Lake fire, about 30 kilometres east of Kamloops, is less than a hectare in size.

The wildfire is burning on the north side of the South Thompson River in the area near the junction between the Trans-Canada Highway and Highway 97.

According to the BC Wildfire Service, the fire is visible from both highways.

Two attack crews and a response officer were on site as of 1 p.m. on Sunday.
