For those who still haven't received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, Interior Health is adding drop-in hours to its appointment-based clinics.
Anyone age 12 and older who has not received their first dose is eligible to drop in, register and receive their vaccine.
Kamloops has two ongoing clinics. At the Tournament Capital Centre clinic at 910 McGill Rd., drop-in hours will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The clinic at the McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre will hold drop-in hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

According to the BC Centre for Disease Control, as of June 7, the Kamloops local health area has seen 72 per cent of its 18-and-older population vaccinated with at least one dose and 70 per cent for those 12 and older.
Kamloops is divided into two community health service areas. According to the June 7 data, North Kamloops is currently lagging behind South Kamloops in vaccination rates, with 70 per cent of all adults 18 and older vaccinated in the north and 76 per cent vaccinated in the south.
