Fire crews respond to grass fire near Cinnamon Ridge

Kamloops Fire Rescue and crews from the BC Wildfire Service responded to a fire at Cinnamon Ridge west of the city on Tuesday afternoon.

A total of 18 BC Wildfire Service crewmembers were en route to assist KFR firefighters at around 4:30 p.m., according to a BC Wildfire Service information officer.

The call came in to KFR at 3:25 p.m.

An update provided by the BC Wildfire Service put the fire at 3.2 hectares in size. They say it is currently under control and will not spread further.

No structures were threatened by the blaze.
