Full mail service resumes following temporary delays due to wildfire smoke

Canada Post has resumed full mail delivery after smoky skies forced postal officials to delay service for some Kamloops residents.

According to a press release from Canada Post, full service was restored in Kamloops on Wednesday.

On Monday, the Crown corporation issued a delivery service alert for most of Southern B.C. saying letters would not be delivered temporarily due to wildfire smoke blowing into the province from south of the border.

Castlegar and Trail remain without mail service as of Wednesday, while service is limited in much of the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley, as well as Greater Victoria.
