A third person has died of COVID-19 in the Interior Health region.
The death, reported by Interior Health as a man in his 70s who died in hospital, comes as the province reports 287 new cases of COVID-19 in B.C.
Ten of the new cases are in the Interior Health region.
The man's death was one of two reported in the province on Wednesday.
There are now no patients with COVID-19 in Interior Health hospitals, however 91 cases remain active in the region.
Elsewhere in the province, there are 87 people in hospital and 25 of those are in critical care. Another 5,358 are under active public health monitoring due to exposure to confirmed cases.
To date, there have been 4,545 cases in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, 7,863 in Fraser Health, 253 in Vancouver Island Health, 727 in Interior Health, 399 in Northern Health and 88 among those who reside outside Canada.
One new community outbreak was reported on Wednesday, at the Okanagan Men's Centre in Lake Country, just under a two hour drive south of Kamloops near Kelowna. Further details were not provided by Interior Health.
To date, 11,244 people have recovered from COVID-19 of the province's 13,875 confirmed cases, while 261 have died.
