Boaters are asked to exercise caution and travel at idling speeds to prevent bank erosion, which has been a concern from residents along both the North and South Thompson rivers and which has resulted in closure of one lane on East Shuswap Road.

In addition, the Rivers Trail behind Sandman Centre, between Riverside and Pioneer parks, will also reopening.

Sand and sandbags used as preventive measures will be collected in the coming weeks.
