Kamloops man accused of luring minor online

Andrew James Daykin, 22, has been charged with one count each of invitation to sexual touching of a person under 16, providing sexually explicit material to a child and using telecommunications to lure a person under 16.

A young Kamloops man is facing a string of charges alleging that he attempted to lure a child online.

Andrew James Daykin, 22, has been charged with one count each of invitation to sexual touching of a person under 16, providing sexually explicit material to a child and using telecommunications to lure a person under 16.

According to court documents, the offences are alleged to have taken place between Oct. 1 and Oct. 31, 2019.

Daykin is not in custody. He is expected to make his next court appearance on Aug. 17.
