Kamloops Mounties investigating after van strikes pedestrian

The victim was taken to Royal Inland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the driver of the van remained at the scene

Kamloops Mounties are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a van in North Kamloops on Monday night.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said the pedestrian was hit while walking at the corner of Tranquille Road and Clapperton Road at about 10:30 p.m.. The victim was taken to Royal Inland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the driver of the van remained at the scene.

Shelkie said police are working on determining the cause of the collision.
