Kamloops Mounties race to gas station; man arrested

Police responded to an incident on May 16 at the Esso gas station at McGill Road and Summit Drive in Sahali

A number of Kamloops Mounties raced to the Esso gas station in Sahali on Thursday morning, where a shirtless man was arrested and officers blocked access to the facility’s carwash.

Six police vehicles were at the gas station at McGill Road and Columbia Street just before 9 a.m., with the man being arrested while other officers collected evidence from the ground.

Two police vehicles blocked the entrance to the carwash, with one customer turned away. An ambulance also arrived on scene.

KTW has a call in to Kamloops RCMP as details behind the incident are as yet unknown.
