Kamloops Mounties release description of jewelry store smash and grab suspect

At 1 p.m. on Wednesday, a man broke a glass display case and stole $20,000 worth of items from within. He then ran out of the mall and into a waiting vehicle

Kamloops Mounties have released a description of the man who made off with $20,000 worth of jewelry items during a smash and grab at the Michael Hill outlet in Aberdeen Mall on Wednesday.

But an image from a mall surveillance camera might make it difficult for anybody to identify the thief, as it is anything but clear.

At 1 p.m. on Wednesday, a man broke a glass display case and stole items from within. He then ran out of the mall and into a waiting vehicle.

The suspect is white, in his 30s, with a thin build. He was wearing a black hoodie, with the hood pulled up over a black hat and a beige jacket over top. The vehicle he entered was a black, four-door hatchback. No make or model was confirmed by witnesses.
