Kamloops Mounties seek bank robbery suspect

A man walked into the TD Canada Trust branch in Columbia Square at 4 p.m. on Oct. 7. He demanded, and received, cash.

A bank robbery in Sahali has Kamloops Mounties seeking a suspect.

Sgt. Darren Michels said a man walked into the TD Canada Trust branch in Columbia Square — at Notre Dame Drive and Columbia Street — at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

He approached a teller and demanded money. The teller handed over some cash and the man left the bank.

Michels said no weapon was seen and nobody was injured, adding that a search of the area failed to find the suspect, who is white, between 40 and 55 years old and was wearing a beige ball cap, a white surgical mask and a grey sweatshirt with CANADA written on it in white lettering.

Anybody with information is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
