Kamloops Mounties seek public's help in finding wanted man

Kamloops Mounties are hoping tips from the public will help them track down a city man wanted on a number of outstanding warrants.

Kevin James Beattie is facing charges of possessing ammunition while prohibited, possessing a weapon while prohibited, theft under $5,000 and driving while prohibited.

Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Darren Michels said Beattie has been a no-show in court, so a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

“The RCMP believes that he is in Kamloops and is of no fixed address,” he said.

Anyone with information about Beattie’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 250-828-3000.
