One man was taken to hospital and another is on the lam following a stabbing on Tuesday on a busy Kamloops thoroughfare.
RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said emergency crews were called to an area near the Husky on Columbia Street in Sahali just before noon for a report of a stabbing.
“It appears that after the man was allegedly assaulted at the Husky station, two other men assisted him to cross Columbia Street and go to the Star Lodge,” she said.
From the Star Lodge, the victim was taken to hospital.
Shelkie said investigators believe the injuries to be non-life-threatening.
The suspect was last seen running across McGill Road toward the Sahali Wendy’s restaurant. He is described as having been wearing a black hoodie with with a large design on the front and grey sleeves, along with grey sweatpants and white running shoes with a black stripe.
