Evelyn said police arrested a man, who allegedly resisted, resulting in a short foot pursuit, followed by a struggle that saw two officers injured.

“One of the officers was transported to hospital by ambulance,” Evelyn said. “Both are expected to recover.”

Evelyn said further investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen.

A 33-year-old man was arrested and is in custody. He was also wanted by police on multiple warrants.  He remains in custody.
