Kamloops RCMP seeks driver of vehicle involved in suspicious incident near school

Two students were walking home from Beattie elementary when they noticed a vehicle that appeared to be following them

Kamloops Mounties are seeking the public’s help in identifying a driver who was involved in what police are describing as a suspicious incident on Tuesday near an elementary school in Sahali.

Sgt. Sascha Fesenko said two students from Beattie elementary were walking home on Dalgleish Drive at about 2:40 p.m. when they said a a vehicle — described as a dark grey or dark blue SUV appeared to be following them.

Fesenko said a resident in the area noticed the vehicle and called the students over, at which point the driver of the SUV drive away.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle is described as a South Asian male, medium height and slim build with a moustache. He was wearing a blue hat, a blue T-shirt and grey shorts.

“At this point, it is unknown what his intentions were,” Fesenko said.
