Police say charges could be laid against a pair of men after a traffic stop outside a Kamloops motel turned up of drugs and cash.
According to an RCMP news release, the driver of a vehicle fled on foot after Kamloops Mounties conducted a traffic stop in a Valleyview parking lot on Jan. 31.
RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said the driver was arrested a short time later, as was another man who was a passenger in the vehicle.
“Almost $3,000 in cash was seized from the driver, as well as 262 grams of what is suspected to be cocaine, crack cocaine and methamphetamine,” she said. “A data card printer police believe to be used for producing identification was seized from the vehicle.”
Shelkie said the vehicle was seized and investigative findings will be forwarded to prosecutors for review.
