Large police presence at Brocklehurst apartment

There was a large police presence outside a Brocklehurst apartment complex Monday evening (Apr. 5).

About 10 RCMP vehicles could be found amassing outside Sagebrush Manor along Holt Street near the corner with Tranquille Road as of about 6 p.m., eyewitness Nathan Ritchie told KTW. He said members of the RCMP's emergency response team and police search dog unit were among the responders.

Police reportedly took one person into custody who was transported by paramedics to Royal Inland Hospital, and emergency responders were clearing the scene before 8 p.m. One of the buildings was reportedly evacuated during the police operation.
