At its drop-in first-dose COVID-19 vaccination clinic held over the weekend, Interior Health said it vaccinated more than 100 people.
The four-hour clinic was held in the Cascades Casino parking lot in Aberdeen on Sunday, June 6, and was the first drop-in clinic held in the community.
A spokesperson for Interior Health said many of those who went to receive the vaccine indicated they would not have been able to do so otherwise.
As of June 4, B.C. had administered 3,488,884 total doses of COVID-19 vaccine, with 534,490 of those being Interior Health residents, of whom 48,667 have received their second dose.
For those who still need to be vaccinated, but could not attend the past weekend’s drop-in clinic, appointments can be made through the province's age-based vaccination program, which is currently vaccinating everyone age 12 and older.
